What is the best starter cornhole bag?
This simple question is echoed around this country dozens upon dozens of times a day on Cornhole media sites everywhere. Before answering the question about the bag, first we must ask the question: What is one of the most important things for a new starting player to work on? I would have to say the overwhelming response from many of the top players would be, "Consistency". Consistency comes learning to control the bag and keep it on the board if not in the hole. Both of these traits are very hard to achieve if you are struggling to keep bags on because they are too fast. So I highly recomend starting out with a bag that has a medium slide on one side and a slow sticky side on the other. Starting with a slow sticky side to gain the confidence of keeping the bag on the board. And then progressing to the medium slide side to work on your accuracy of sliding it to the hole. Using only a super sticky sided bag all the time will never allow you to advance your game to the next level where more skills and shots are needed. And using only a really slick side when just beginning will most likely only aggravate and discourage a beginning player. Yes you will need all of the above skills to become a competitive player, just don't try learning it all at once.
